I just read a review of Jack Lynch's Lexicographer's Dilemma in the New York Times. Anyone familiar with things Johnsonian or with things 18th century has long known of Lynch through his fabulous website and his other important contributions to the field. I'm eager to read his book and figure out how much he's covered what I'd hoped to write about 18th century grammars.
